Nick’s Bio

Growing up loving cars, I always knew I wanted a career in the automotive industry. I started off taking part in rally competitions, winning the championship with Bognor Motoring Club. When looking for sponsorship when I was just 17, I met Anthony Wicking from City Garages who was looking for a partner. I worked there for 35 years, becoming operations director for the whole of Chichester. I decided it was time to leave and start my own venture and bought a Skoda Dealership in Brighton. This was very successful and allowed me to expand the business into Worthing and Chichester. However, when the recession hit, I was forced to let the branches go to another group, who I ended up working for, based in Croydon. A group in Portsmouth were struggling with the after sales side of the business so I took it over, but eventually the business went bust. This is when I took on my most successful challenge yet. – Smile Servicing & Repairs. I bought the workshop and built up my own, brand new, independent garage from the ground up. My proudest achievement yet is the customer satisfaction that the garage is known for in the local area, and we wouldn’t be where we are today if we didn’t look after our customers to the 9th degree.

As a man with drive and passion for everything I do, from running half marathons and raising money for charity to being happily married, I love a challenge. And with Smile Servicing & Repairs being so successful in recent years, I wanted to apply all the expertise and skills from Smile Servicing, into Hares Servicing and Repairs Ltd.
